I don't want to jump the gun and screw something up, done that before. What might happen to the 02's?

Open headers ? I finally received all the parts for my headers/cam install... except my Y-pipe 
My question is would there be any issues if I install the cam and headers then drive my car home about a 1/2 mile? I don't pretend to know much about the stock computer or if the car will even idle after the cam but I'm hoping to limp it home without the Y pipe. Bad idea yes or no

Bad idea yes or no Yes open headers are very fun, I remember the first time I ran my car with open headers. I took the entire muffler and tailpipe assembly off and drove it around for a couple days. Nothing like leaving school with the pedal to the floor and having no muffler. the next day people were like WTF do you have done to that thing.

O.K. then, open headers it is. Once again thanks for the help. I'll post a vid of the open headers/cam without a tune and then one with the Y and cat-back with a tune. I bought some wood at the lumber store to complete the cam install....hhmmm just doesn't sound right 
it was nice
