A muffler shop made me a cutout and installed it for $60. It should be less just to weld yours on. They probably charge close to $100 an hour, and it should take them 10 or 15 minutes.

I have had mine at both locations and prefer it just before the muffler. There won't be a difference in power between the two locations, and the zed style has less drone and is easier to get to.

I just got mine in the middle of the I pipe at Midas for 30$. If they charge over that, go somewhere else. Only took about 30 mins with all the welding. It sounds kickass.

Yeah, it does. If you put in in the I-pipe it will sound deeper because the sound will bounce back off the pavement more. The downfall is that you will get a lot more interior drone and heat under your floor board. My latest and favorite setup by far, has the cutout just before the muffler and a plate over the cutout with a 1 1/4" hole. I had a muffler shop make a plate to bolt to my cutout with 1 1/4" hole in it. It makes my magnaflow exhaust sound much more throaty/aggressive, but isn't obnoxiously loud and doesn't have the drone of an open 3" cutout.

Probably not. If you want to put it under the car, use the space that looks like it was made for a cutout. It's just before the I-pipe goes up over the axle. Angle the cutout at about a 45 degree angle between the side of the car and the ground.

also did u have to grind some of the welds down on the inside of the cutout, bc it has a lip on the inside all around where they welded.
