Default Catted Y for Pacesetters

I looked but could not find any info on this.

I want PaceSetter headers but also want cats and I don't want to deal with any issues of fitment.

Anyone have a solid recommendation on this?

that really suprises me because my Y fits GREAT, it almost looks stock under there. the ONLY thing u can see if u are looking at it is the drivers side cat and thats just cuz the floor board is lower than the passenger side. maybe urs did not go on as well as it should, but mine is wonderful

that really suprises me because mine BARELY hangs lower than stock, the only place that it really does is the drivers side cat. hell, the lowest point on my exhaust is the cutout, ground clearance for me was not an issue at all, then again im not lowered

the pacesetter ory sucks. I dont know if they merge the catted one any different but i dont see why they would do two different ones. The merge looks like an ******* on mine, a real tight one. well its not that bad...

That's pretty much how mine looks. I think I just need to unbolt everything and try and get a better fit.

I just put my pacesetters in today with the tsp catted y pipe......The pacesetter headers went in fine....the y pipe sucks....hits the floor board and causes and annoying vibration. Im probably going to go to an exhaust shop and have a custom y pipe made.

Problem with y pipe is so many things. How are the motor mounts, how off are the headers and how low the car is. The best y pipe would be to make one out of oval piping with a custom merge collector. WOuld cost an arm and a leg though.

The design of the TSP y-pipe merge sucks! Compare it with a flowmaster merge and see what I'm talking about. You don't want to do LT's and then choke the flow at the Y. That's why people make decent gains with a flowmaster merge swap.

i totally agree about the merge, it looks like a 2yr old did it, the flowmaster merge would be a much better idea

Flowmaster Y-merge, carsound cats and have an exhaust shop build the rest. Also the mufflex y-pipe bump stop hangar will take care of your y pipe banging.

Scroll down on this page:http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...&vid=3&pcid=54
It helped with my y-pipe banging near the front driver side. Bolts up to pre-existing holes.
