Default Installed my Pacesetters and TSP True Duals

After work today I pulled in my 2000 Z28 and started my install, coated non-emission Pacesetters and TSP true duals with 18" bullets. I have been running stock manifolds and a Hooker Catback for the past 2 weeks. Install went very smooth, easier than most customers cars would for some reason. The whole swap from stock to the headers and duals was about 3 hours exactly without using a lift.

Have only drove it home from work sofar. The sound difference is amazing, it was decent sounding but very mild with the hooker catback and manifolds, but you can really tell its breathing good now. I can tell it makes some more power too in my limited WOT blast before I hit city limits. I'll try to have it dyno'd by the end of the week as I may swap camshafts this weekend if I stay in town.

Ground clearance is also very good at the stock ride height, I've installed a few so of coarse mine is going to be decent too. I'll find some time to post pics up too in the next few days.

Jerami, its just our 235/240 camshaft with a different nickname (Texas Tsunami is what I call it at the shop). Forgot the exact lift (.600"+), but I know the one I have here is on a 111lsa. I'll probably see about getting a few to try with a wider LSA to clear with ported heads with bigger valves as the 111lsa gets a little closer PtoV than I like so we don't push it much...ppl expect it to clear when they get heads since its on the "smallish" side of large.

The MS3 currently doesn't fit well without flycutting (non-AFR), although does extremely well with matched with heads. Hopefully the numbers work out to where it will fit with our cylinder head packages for a non-flycut alternative and have the same general .050" specs (235/240).

I do have a few other new camshafts in the works, a MS3 derived cam with a little more lift, should be checking PtoV in a few days on that one and installing it shortly afterwards. I currently have 918's or else I'd try to ****** it up for myself.

gotcha. whats ptv clearance get down to with the MS3 and ported heads and larger valves. stock head clearance is ~.100 correct? its 113lsa 113 icl correct?

you guys ever gonna experiment with some of the lsk lobes. i'd love to see maybe a 224 or 225 duration cam with a good set of heads. maybe on a 112+0.

Cool I plan on going with that set-up soon, except for the tsunami camshaft, might be too extreme on my daily driver. What muffler choices to you offer on the true duel set-up. Also do you guys stock Electronic Cut-outs.

Don't remember the exact clearance on ported heads/big valves but it wasn't very much at all, .020" is what I -think- it was on the intake (I use a dial indicator, checking springs, solid lifter, and an adjustable pushrod to attain 0 valve lash on base circle). Stock heads with the MS3, worse I seen was .053" intake and .070" exhaust on a cold engine, 113/113 is correct.I've run tighter than that before of coarse, but wouldn't recommend it. The 113lsa helps the exhaust side clearance a tad, while the 113icl helps the intake clearance, compromises made for lack of stock reliefs... I think it works better that way vs. the MS1 237/242 112+2 that we used to have 2 years ago on a forged motor. As a comparison, the "Tsunami" has about the same clearance than the MS3 on stock heads in its current state, even though its smaller.

Prob try a few lsk lobes, don't think they would help on stock heads, but on heads that still make flow @ .650"...well on paper should be better with more lift.

00slpSS,

We have the Dynomax bullets on most of the kits, but offer the Moroso Spiral-Flow mufflers, and someday soon should have the "Sweet Thunder" mufflers in stock. I may work with our exhaust manufacturer (if time permits) and try to get a kit to run the exhaust out the rear of the car for those that don't want to have it dumped. I don't think it will be a full 3" though...will have to neck down to 2 1/2" over the axle.

A 2.5" over the axle "add on" for us existing owners, as wel as that option for new owners, would be a money making affair for you guys me thinks. Thats a great idea Joseph.

Loving my TSP TDs w/ Spiral Flows. I get compliments everywhere I go. Great ground clearance and work perfectly with my Pacesetters.

Wow, must be nice. I've had my coated, non-emission Pacesetters (that I ordered at the same time I ordered the duals) on for two weeks now. Too bad you guys won't send me the dual exhaust kit I paid for ~2 1/2 weeks ago.

From one Joseph to another - PLEASE find a kit and send it to me ASAP!

I bought a used kit, not a new kit. We're still waiting on the kits from the manufacturer. What name is the order placed under?
