Default 2002 LS1 intake # help?

I am trying to find out what intake is on my 2002 LS1.
The part # is 12560688.
I can't find a listing for this PN, and from my understanding, this year should be using the LS6 intake.
Anyone?
The engine is out of a 2002 WS6, 35k on engine.

If the motor was from a 2002 TA then, it has the LS6 Intake. GM has changed the part number of the LS6 Intake a few times. Also, the LS6 Intake does not have EGR unlike 98-00 LS1 Intake.

I show that # off a 98-00 F-bod ie. LS1 intake, looks like someone swapped out the LS6 intake. The 01-02 intakes have #12561184 on them, or possibly the engine is a pre 01 LS1.

Sounds like you got swindled in one way or another. Either you just didn't get the LS6 intake you should have with that engine, or you didn't get an 02 engine.

Question more confused!?!?!?

To all, thanks for the info. Is there a way I can tell what year the engine is?
It came with a Tremec T56, and I was going off of an etched # on the head, 02 11 02, thought it was a date.
I am not too worried if it is not a 2002, I got the complete engine, all accy's, maf & ls1 motorsports airbox, radiater w/ fans, A/C radiater, condencer, hoses, B&M Shifter, Exhaust manifolds, driveshaft, orig. motor mounts & pedestals, all for $3,000. The guy I got it from was going to put it into a slammed pickup, but didn't have a clue on how to set it up.

You can look at the head castings. On the front of the head you should see a 3 digit number.

803 (1998)
843 (1999-2000)
241 (2001-2002)

806 for 98.

Thumbs up

My head casting # is 853 and after perusing JRP's FAQ link (thanks for the ton of info!), I beleive it is a 2000 engine, cast exhaust manifolds, EGR, and head # narrow it down to being a 2000, unless I missed something glaringly obvious.
When did Tremec take over the M6?
Hell, it is still a good LS1, and now I have good reason to upgrade manifolds!
Thanks again, even though I have been a Chevy guy for over 27 years, this is a whole new learning curve. And a big thanks to all those who developed the LS1 and to all in the aftermarket world.
My last project was mechanically restoring my in-laws '58 'Vette, but after getting my LS1 I would have a hard time to go back to a SBC!!!
