I'm guessing that I have an exhaust leak form the sound of things. I checked everything and narrowed it down to this. Drivers side header. All the others look the same no corrosion or anything. Is this a problem I only have about 100 miles on the car since cam/header install. It's tough to see in the pic but it looks a little rough where the flange meats the header.

You shouldn't have exhaust stains there. Maybe a few tack welds around there would fix that, what headers are those?

Looks like an exhaust leak to me. Take your finger and try wiping some of the mark off. If it comes off easily, then it's most likely carbon, and sure enough an exhaust leak.

Pacesetter headers. Do you really think a few tack welds will help?? I'm about ready to take them off and send them back for a SECOND TIME

Tack weld should seal it up, but you may want to call the company and let them know first. Ask them if you can attempt to repair their product. They might tell you if you try and mess with them yourself that you can no longer return them. Just a warning brother......

True, do they come with a warranty? Send them the photo and see what they say.

i would probably get in touch w/ the company and try and send them back first. I know it's a pain in the *** ... but putting a tak weld on top of the coating will probably mess w/ the coating and it'll probably wind up flaking off down the road.

It will be an eye sore. You wil need to sand the coating off before you weld anyway.

Coating is going to go to **** anyway and the deinstall, plus stock reinstall if he wants or needs to drive the car.

What a pain in the ***.

yeah thats definitely your leak, problem with tack welding is you might get some build up on the inside which you will be unable to grind down with the header on the car, thus hindering performance, although im sure ever so slightly. I'd send em back and get them fixed/recoated.

I don't think I can fit a wire feed in there anyway. I'll just have to take the header off and weld it. As the old saying goes " You get what you pay for ".
