Question Can I make a True-Dual setup with pre-made mandrel bent pipe parts?

I cant see why not. I have Hooker LTs, so does someone know if I can buy already mandrel bent pipes in parts? Then just weld it all together at any muffler shop? Reason is, no one has a ******* mandrel bender locally, so I thought about this route. Oh, and I am talking all the way out the back..over the axle.

PLUS, I have yet to see a pic of true duals WITH cats. Post up one or two if someone can.

WHERE IS MY SIG NOW?
I have a 99 T/A M6

click the pink banner to see the bassani tru-duals on the wife's car with cats.

and yes you can make a dual system over the axle with premade mandrel bent pipes. just got to figure it all out.

yeah, thats how most folks do it. mandrel benders are pricey. but still, be prepared to pay a bunch if you go that route.

Ive been traicking the bassani true dual for forever now. I called to order one and the guy said "we dont have any aluminized steel." So, no order will be made.

Oh yeaaaaaa....

Anyone ever order the TSP true duals, then later on connected pipes to that system to go out the back?

Who knows. It was a while ago.

Anyway, I am not dismissing them yet, just exploring options. Besides, I havent seen pics of that system with cats....nor any others actually.

I use Magnaflow mandrel bends. A little pricey, but the quality is excellent.

Here's an old pic of some duals with cats - which may help some. Good luck with your system.

I just got a generic 2.5" X pipe "kit" from summit.
as well as some bullet mufflers.

LANE - does your system bang the torque arm at all?

Not at all, but if it did - it's a very easy fix. Simply pull the two tailpipes apart.

Yea Ive seen that, but are you going over the axle? If so, how much work is involved with modding the pipes and such? And...cost?

Ok I gotta ask....is having a cat-filled true dual system not going to be not much better than an ORY system?
