good luck finding a shop to install a ORY most wont even touch a cars exhaust without cats, but header install usually will run you about 400-500 or less if you can find a good shop in your area. dont take it to midas or any of those places they will rape you on prices.

True that. And they usually do a half assed job as well. Where you at ?? Is there one of the board sponsors local to ya ?

If not, you may want to do it yourself. It's not really that hard, you will have a blast, say some bad words, skin you knuckles a few times, and get to drive to the exhaust shop w/ open headers to get the Y installed. BUT...you will save about 400.00

Just my .02

I vote to do it yourself. Especially if you have access to a lift. It is a great experience and think of all the money you will save.

I would also suggest to do it yourself, its a lot easier than you think. Start to finish installing my headers was about 8 hours if I remember right. The passenger side slipped right in which suprised me and the driver side I had to use the BFH mod on the firewall to get it in all the way, oh and I also had to change the oil while I was at it since the filter had to come off.

I have a performance shop that wants to do my Kooks headers and ORY for 500 and I've been told that's high.I have had bad experiences with trying to do jobs without the know-how
or the correct tools so if money is no problem pay someone and save time and a headache.I don't mind learning though by helping someone else and then doing it myself.

WOW those prices are high. I was quoted $250 from a sponsor here so I guess I should count my blessings. Then again I am buying the headers and ory from them as well so they might be taking that into consideration.

For $400-500 I would have to consider doing it yourself. Or post up in the regional section that applies to you and offer $200 + Pizza + beer and I bet you get someone who has done it before to help ya

Good Luck

$500, but check your local forum. There may be some locals who will do it for Pizza & Beer.
