Default Magnaflow Fitment help

I recently purhcased a Maganaflow system and have it almost in...

Im waiting for my kooks headers and Y pipe, however, i ordered the 3" Y pipe from Kooks and it looks like the Magnaflow system is meant for a 2.75" pipe anyone else run into this? Did you just have it expanded out to slightly larger than 3" to clear the pipe? (i was hoping to have purely bolt in...)

I have not recieved my ory yet to check... but i would assume that the 2.75" magnaflow would not fit the 3" Y

Thanks

The Magnaflow I piping is 3", the muffler exit pipes are 2.5" and the tips are 3.5". You did get part no. 15684 right?

Yes... it is all 3" EXCEPT where it connects to the 2.75" stock Y

Yes 15684.

It comes with the 2.75" clamp to connect to the stock Y and the long tube on one end is "shrunk" down from 3" to 2.75"

Mine fit. I think the Kooks Y-pipe was long and we cut the Magnaflow I-pipe. Can't exactly remember, but it fit. I have the same set up.

I believe it's a 3 inch i-pipe, cuz I have a similar setup except a pacesetter y pipe and it was a slip fit and I had 3" band clamps on the I-pipe before. I could be wrong, but I also went to an exhaust shop to have them look for a good place for the cutouts I'm gonna get and they told me the i-pipe was 3".
