Question H/C car with Dynomouth exhaust. Is the stock I pipe hurting me?

I have a Heads / cam on my Lt1, I have Slp headers. For a cat back have the stock I pipe with a dynomax bullet welded into it. Its called the Dynomouth to some people. I'm wondering if the stock 2.75 I pipe is hurting my performance here?

Thanks

Of course you will flow better with true duals, but to help you may just consider a cutout. *shrug*

I like my SLp headers, can do TD's with them. My car is already one of the loudest around, so not looking to be any louder. Im just wondering if still running that stock I pipe is hurting me?

I would imagine you would see a gain from a good full 3" catback. Hooker, Magnaflow etc..

The stock I pipe is 2.75" and does not restrict that bad at that power level. Actually you are gaining more TQ than the HP you are leaving on the table. I have run quite a few heads and cam cars with SLP headers and stock Ipipe with MagnaFlow mufflers and got well over 400rwtq changing it out you loose alot of that. Just my experience

he said it's an LT1, isnt that 2.5 vs the LS1 2.75"? I agree that on the LT1 you'd be better with 3" with heads and cam
