Default Question about fabing up some o2 extensions

I cant find o2 extensions anywhere....so i was going to cut the wires on the o2 sensor and butt splice some wires with heat shrink over the butt connectors. Has anyone done something like this? It seems like it would be strong to me. Should i use a specific type of wire or anything?

i have heard some people trying that. anyplace that sells long tubes should sell 02 extensions. just give some places a call.

Did I read on here that C5 extensions will work on an F-body with LT's? If I'm right, you could get them from a dealer, of course.

Vette rear O2 sensors willl eliminate the need for O2 extensions, Bosch 13111...but they're about $70 a piece

Usually about anyone that sells headers for these cars has O2 extensions.
As far as splicing, If I went that route I would solder the wires, butt
connectors suck as far as I'm concerned.

I did that when I burnt some up. It'll work fine. Just make sure when u splice the wires that your connecting the right ones back up. I used some electrical tape and it's been just fine.
