Honestly, I don't know if it sounds exactly like that since I am inside the car, but I would guess that it sounds similar. I will try to get some flyby videos. I have one idle video that I will try to post up shortly.

Oh, the exhaust clamps that came with the setup are badass. I have absolutely no exhaust leaks, and they were easy to install.

I thought it was pretty decent myself. I probably could have made the can fit under the turndowns too if I would have put a little more effort into it.

What does angling the tips out 45 degrees do? I see a lot of you doing this.

It gets rid of 90% of the vibration/resonance in the car. My car previously had the bullets on it, and the turndowns were pointed at the ground, and the resonance was BAD at lower rpms. No such problem with the ST's and 45* angle.

BTW, if Sweet Thunders hurt power, it's only a very little bit, 'cause I actually ran a tenth *faster* in the same density altitude switching from the Bullets to the ST's, with 60' being within a hundreth of a second.

So turning them only gets rid of the resonance? I will leave them as they are then. This setup made a huge difference in my car's power. I had mac mids and a cutout before. It feels like a new car. Yeah I'm not worried about the ST's hurting my power either.

Yeah, it'll probably kill a whole 2-4 hp.

This is why I am going with duals with sweet thunder mufflers.
You happen to know what else he's got done as far as engine mods?

Most of the vids Ive seen/heard guys have heads/cam and Im wanting to know what it'd sound like w/ stock head/cam instead of a 227+ setup being my wallet doesnt like me enough for me to go that route yet lol.

I think its cam only with Lgx2 Cam (232 240 112 on x-er lobes) and pacesetter headers. I got the soundclip from ls1sounds.com

I love how it sounds. Maybe its the 7k rpms shift points.

I thought the clip looked/sounded familiar. Ive got the Cayenne Red Z clip w/ the 224 cam and Pacesetters and that thing is sounding.

A few questions here....

Pardon my limited knowledge on exhausts...

I noticed Texas Speed isn't selling that package any more, so, if I wanted to buy the parts individually to build this setup, what would I need?

And, on the first page, on the second picture why one pipe longer than the other? ( )

Also, would I be able to take this setup easily up and over the axle with some nice tips?

I love the sound of sweet thunder.

You can buy a universal X pipe kit with mandrel bends from summitt or jegs, along with a couple mufflers and take it to an EXPERIENCED exhaust shop.
one pipe is longer cause thats how the collectors on the headers point. they aren't even and point straight back like you might think.
doing over the axle requires an exhaust man that DEFINATLY knows what he is doing as has done it before . Its usually very $$$$ though.

That is their Rumber X, not the Sweet Thunder X. The Rumbler X uses bullet mufflers. They still do sell the Sweet Thunder X setup. It's still pretty new. https://ls1tech.com/forums/sponsor-sales-specials/414272-tsp-true-duals-sweet-thunders-finally-arrived.html It would be pretty easy to have this setup turned into an over the axle setup.

If you are interested just give them a call and they will be able to get you set up.
