pricing for true duals out back. hey guys. I went to my local exaust shop and they quoted me $500 for the whole system. Systme includes 3 inch x-pipe to 2 2.5 pipes out back. (The pipes will follow the contour of the stock y-pipe.) 2 magnaflow mufflers and 2 magnaflow tips. The price includes installation. What u guys think of the price?
thats really not too bad. a local guy i know has quoted me 500 for custom duals from the LT's dumped before the axel - and thats not too bad of a price for dumped, yet a lone out the back.
from the pictures and other systems ive seen. . . is it necessary to relocated your panhard bar? no. will it help? maybe i dunno. (someone feel free to correct me if im wrong) as far as pricing that seems to be an excellent price for duals out the back, most people are running anywhere from 800-1000 for a set of good duals out the back depending on how they do it. if you need some pictures just use the search button!

See if you can check out some of their other systems, check on their quality.
I think they have never done a LS1 x-pipe exahust setup and don't know the work that is going to be required to make it fit. Make sure you get that price in writing. 500 is way low for a professional shop.
With pipes, x-pipe, mufflers, and tips thats like 300 in parts right there. No exhaust shop in thier right mind would charge 200 bucks for and dual setup on an F-body. GET it in writing.

Yea, that's a steal. They probably haven't done it on an Fbody before and are just estimating how much work it's going to be. That's how I got my deal on the TD's for my 02 Z28. Print off some pics if you can, and take them with you for the guy to use as a reference.
I've had taken my pevious car (89 Trans am) to this shop and they did a decent good job. Its not the cleanest job, but they do hold their welds. LS69TA, SOme guy on this board did the exact setup of what i've wanted to be done so i used his exaust picture. This exaust shop has been in the business for over 20 years and i've seen plenty of sports cars coming in and out of the place.
