I would be intereseted to hear more about the slip on collectors, in the market for some new LT's, the old skool QTP's (mild steel) are rusted pretty bad.....

When I say "slip fit", I'm not referring to the connection from the Y-pipe to the header collector in this case.
I'm talking about the header collector being slip fitted up to the primaries.
Yea, that's what I meant. I'm we todd ed.

The car is not lowered. I have had no problems with the headers scraping on anything but I have not crossed over any speed bumps.

The ramps are Rhino Ramps. I bought them from Autozone

The headers are $395 and the Y-pipe is $105. I bought them from Kris at Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center.

I put the supplied o2 bungs in the y pipe just behind the collectors so the coating
would not be damaged.Seems to work well as the ltrims are even and switching on
the o2's is crisp.I put the bung for the wide band after the merge of the y pipe.No
pictures right now as its taking a long winter nap.Merry Christmas to All

That's a good idea. No need to put the bungs in the collectors if they work fine in the Y. Thanks for the tip!

I am looking at these as well along with Pacesetters and flowtech headers. I have a buyer for my Macs and decided to try longtubes. Now, which ones?

Hey! AINT SKEERED (The man who taught me to launch an M6!).

The price reduction of QTP High Velocity Merge Collector LT's to $750 is a huge step in the right direction.
These Edelbrocks look great and the price is good too. Stepped + TiTech finish + a great looking Y for peanuts.
The Pacesetters are a great budget LT, but I'd look into the Edelbrock's before them.
Flowtechs are Hookers with poorer construction and crappier collectors.

Hey south Florida, I am liking the Edelbrocks and I already have an Edelbrock catback so I would like to finish the combo off with these headers.

I dont run Nittos too much no more since the M/T drag radials came out but I leave at 6500 on these and they work great.

On the street though, Nittos work great for me still

I just bought skinnies and now wanting headers and a light weight battery to try for some 11.0's on motor before the cold weather goes away. I have been running 11.40's at 3700 lbs teh last two times to the track before skinnies and having the 17" front tires. 275x40x17 's

You're making great MPH for your setup!
I too went from using your launch method to 5+K clutch dumps once a 9" was installed. Was hella lot of fun. Looking now to build a new lsx ride again.

The 3-1/2” collector slips into the Y-pipe and it tapers down to 3” You will have to have the O2 bungs welded on the Y-pipe.

The header and Y-pipe install was easy. The headers slipped right in from the bottom the Y-pipe fits well although it was kind of tough getting it to slip on the collectors but after about 10min of pushing it back and forth it went on. The headers and Y-pipe tuck up well but having a 3-1/2” collector they do hang down a bit.

I will post some pictures of the headers installed on the car.

Overall the fit and finish of the headers is good. I have about 200 miles on them and the Ti-Tech coating is still looking great.

John
I am going to the same setup. What catback are you using John? I was thinking about using a Hooker catback.

I had a Hooker catback one on my LT1 car and really liked it. At some point I will get one for this car.

My current setup is the stock I-pipe into a single in/out Dynomax Ultra Flo muffler.

I would like to know also, can you run with a/c ? my car aint loosen the a/c.

I would like to know what the driveabilaty is like in a m6 car as well?

I am upgrading from Macs and just want to make sure this is the right header for me since I dont want to be doing it again because I lost power or the car has no low end afterwards.

Last , how are clearence issues with working around sparkplugs and even doing transmissions?

thanks guy's, Sorry to aslk so many questions but this is going to help get me to 11.0's and that is the mission for now

Only LT with tranny conflicts are SLP LT's. All others pretty much slide right in.
I'm pretty sure the A/C is not affected by these LT's. Users please chime in.

Stepped is a good compromise between 1 3/4" and 1 7/8". Not overkill for a heads/cam 346ci IMO.
