Just ordered my exhaust and LT's, question about the o2 sims...
https://www.texas-speed.com/item_det...?ProductID=943
are these the o2 sims I was supposed to get with this setup?
1 PaceSetter Ceramic-Coated Long Tube Headers, With Emissions Fittings, 2000-2002 LS1 F-Body - ON SPECIAL! $374.99 1 $374.99
1 Texas Speed & Performance Rumbler X True Dual Exhaust System. Complete 3" Mandrel Bent System With 18" Bullet Mufflers $419.99 1 $419.99
1 O2 Simulators, Pair; FOR OFF-ROAD USE ONLY $89.99 1 $89.99
Also: Do I need o2 extensions in addition to this to hook it up properly? I read the FAQ but I was confused as to whether it was an either/or situation or if it was both needed.

You need one set of O2 extensions for the actual O2 sensors. The headers place them much farther back than the stock position, so you need the extensions for them to reach.
You also need either a set of O2 sims or a tune. Otherwise you will throw a code. If you are getting the car tuned fairly soon, just have the code removed then and save the money on the sims.

Agreed, forget the simms.
Just get the 12" extensions for the front 02's.
I wasted 90$ on the simms when I coulda just wrapped them up and forgot about them.
Your doing a full exhaust setup similar to mine.
Youll need a tune when all of it is installed, have whoever tunes it turn off the rear O2 codes then.

okay well I got both just to be safe because I needed to order it today ( the wait was driving me crazy ) so I should be good to go. I was planning on getting a cam this summer as well so shouldn't I wait to tune until I get that?

Damnit. I'm really worried about backfiring. I REALLY wanna do this install myself...but if I want to I can have one of my grandfather's mechanics do the installation for me. Would it be wiser to just have them do it so I don't screw up my car since I have 0 experience under the hood?

the backfiring is a big problem for me it annoys me to no end, my car also set off 3 codes , one was check engine because of drivers side o2 sensor ( have to check that out 2day) it turned my ASR off for no appart reason and i cant turn it on, and it sets the ABS INOP code off. something is wrong with my car hopefuly me and my frind can fix it
