Damn it man, don't tell everyone, they'll want
some too!
My -guess- is if it's metallic, it's just some
balled up metal from the MIG/stick that didn't fuse into
the weld.
Looks cool though, might be some new heat exchanger
technology from pacesetter.

Mine didn't have any of the ***** when I got them, instead the collector was smashed on one side, both headers had decent sized dents in the pipes. I'd be happy with the white ***** at this point. grrr, frustrated right now.

Good luck on the install, can't wait till I get an undamaged set and install them.

Put them on, it's amazing what heat will do to styrofoam.
They will burn away.

haha sorry to hear that batmobile!!! i have been in some similar situations...but everything happends for a reason!..some times..did you get any type of deal when you sent the damaged ones back?
and for those little cute white ***** stuck in there, ill let the nice amount of exhaust heat deal with them.....they may have won the battle but they didnt win the war

Just go mine last week and same little *****, I wonder if its from their coating process or blasting of some sort. They were hard, not like styrofoam. I got all mine out.
