FRA type mod for c5s??

FRA type mod for c5s?? Hey all, new to this forum...definitely not new to auto forums in general, though.
I had a 1999 z28 about a year ago and the first mod was a Whisper lid and the FRA mod. Loved it. When I bought my current c5 about 2 months ago, it already had the intake in place, and I never thought to check to see if there was any "cutting" I could do to better the flow...do the c5s benefit as much from FRA as the z28s do?? Thanks for any help, I'm a vette noob.

I installed a Vararam on a buddies car a few months back. It's pretty elaborate setup.
If someone blew their motor using it, tell them to slow down in standing water
The "Free mod" for the C5 is called the "Zip Tie" mod. It basically opens up the filter to more air.
