Default which exhaust has less rasp and good sound?

well i have narrowed my choices down to either the hooker catback or the tsp true duals. im looking to loose some of the rasp i have with the rumbler catback and heard the hooker system was good. i know the true duals sound great but are they gonna be too raspy at lower rpm

I have kooks headers, true duals x-pipe(catless) and I think it sounds fine!! Not that raspy at lower rpm. A little rasp never heart anyone anyways If you want your LS1 to sound like a Mustang, get a Mustang. The closest you can get to a Mustang if you are looking for that sound is sweet thunder or those power sticks. LS1s sound different than a lot of V8s out there and I like it Don't care if people say it sounds raspy or not

All in all, I'd go with true duals, I think that sounds a lot better than hooker

Hooker or true duals???

That's quite a swing. With your cam, stall, and ORY the true duals are gonna be louder than anything you've heard short of open headers. I mean LOUD

The Hooker won't generate enough rasp to annoy you. You will get some, but nothing compared to your rumbler. Also, I didn't notice any rasp at all when I had my true duals.

Think about this one, I went from true duals to slp dual/dual after my stall and cam went in.

Sounds like you want the SLP Dual Dual. Hooker/Magnaflow will generate rasp with an ORY.

Cats are an excellant rasp killer as well.

You can pick one up in the parts for sale section cheap usually.

Other than that go with the Magnaflow or Hooker. I was running LT's ORY and Mag. it was really tame. Too quite for me actually. I never had any problems with rasp either - some people do though.

True Duals are going to be loud. Bullets are going to be insane. You may want to swap the muffler for Spirals Flows.

I like the sound of True duals. But as mentioned, the SLP Dual Dual is an Excelent muffler and flows extremely well. Get some good tips and you are good to go.

I personally like my B&B Triflow, but that doesnt seem to be in your range/options.
