i got the Coolant temp to 185 and around 80 degree IAT being that it was like 50's here in cali the IAT will drop alot and it did went to 68 degree and held there until the lights came then it went back to a whole 74 degree. I stopped in a parking lot and let it sit with ign off. for about 20 min or so. Turned it back on and the IAT was at 107 degree! April I will see what happens or sometime sooner if we have a really nice hot weekend day! so far an av drop in temp like 3 or 4 degree. I am running a 160 stat and TB bypass. Hopefully that helps

I think it does something because my filter gets dirty FAST, and the car is only driven twice a week in the summer months. I have FTRA system.

I found the clear wrapper from a pack of cigarettes jammed below my air filter. FTRA sucked it right off the road man. Also, we changed the fan on-off temps with HP tuners. Im running the stock thermostat and it runs a hell of a lot cooler now. A good mod to do.

The FTRA is an improvement over the FRA. It's well worth the $$$.

Anyone have an install guide for the FTRA? I bought one used and did not get instructions.

Holy resurrected thread, Batman! I don't have the install sheet, but I remember it being pretty easy once you got everything lined up...

There's not rally anywhere for it to take hot air from other than outside! & plastic can get hot too! but in cold weather the metal will be a hell of a lot colder than plastic

I was wondering if anyone has ever had one jet-coated (is that the name?), or whatever that ceramic stuff is that's put on headers and such.

I don't think you could.

But the entire heatsoak debate is bullshit. I had a thread on here(which was locked because of one immature douche bag) regarding the heatsoak issue. I have a scanmaster in the Z and I took some IAT readings while driving around. I was getting about 3-5* higher IAT reading than the actual outside air temp...that's not really bad
