I F-ed up!
I F-ed up! I got my mac mids in the mail..
so I thought I'd clean them up a bit before installing them..
I put engine enamel block paint or w/e on it ... thats only rated to 500F *
should I take this **** off or run over it with real header paint?
idk what to do!!!
oh yeah I lost header bolts and the bolts that connect the Y pipe

well.. there not exactly pretty now.. so I want to atleast attempt to make them look decent..
glass beaded? what would happen if I just run it as is? will it **** anything up in the engine bay when it melts off?

Glassbead is like snadblasting, removers pretty much everything down to the bare metal, great for the collector area , I droped off my pacesetters today to get glassbeaded and then powered coated with high temp black

Hell, I painted mine with so called "high temp" ceramic
paint. It just burns/flakes off. Damned sure looked
pretty bright red until I fired it up, LOL.
Paint held up on flanges and collectors, though.

Yea, you should be fine.
Also, get some nice Stage 8 bolts for the headers, and the bolts (actually called studs) used to connect the Y pipe pieces and Y-pipe to the headers can be bought at any exhaust shop. When I did mine, I needed a few, the exhaust shop down the block from me actually gave me the studs and nuts for free. I *believe* they're 7/16" studs...but don't quote me on that!
