Default Side exit exhaust

Got a few questions on it. I plan on useing mac headers going into cats then into an H pipe(yes i said H and not X want alittle different sound) but im not sure on my choices for mufflers. I would like something kinda quiet like the hooker catback or just a tad louder. What options are there? Also I was thinking of running all oval pipes, who sells oval pipes? I known i've seen them before but just don't know where. Do the make an oval pipe H pipe.

Thanks
Jon

Dr Gas is the only place I know that sells oval pipe. But check the vendors.

Ground/floorboard clearance is too much of an issue with side exit exhaust on F-bodies. Even with oval pipe. It could be done, but would hang waaayy too low.

Yep. The first speedbump you crossed wouldn't be pretty.

It's that bad. Where is the major problem with clearance? I would guess where it comes out by the wheels since everything else is the same a a true dual with dump's setup. Anyone have any pics of side exit's. I would like to do this but if it hangs to low then just forget it. I really don't like seeing pipes hanging under the car i like it tucked up under as much as possible.

Thanks
Jon

there is no way to tuck the pipes under the body then make a sudden drop down to send the pipe out the side. it will be ok running where the h-pipe is but as soon as you go to go out the side the pipe has no place to tuck. the guy who tried it for me took hours bending a pipe to fit as tight to the body as possible making numerous and it still dragged. You could do it if you used boom tubes though.....check out the dr. gas site if your really set on side exit.

You would have to do a boom tube setup.

i have seen side exit on a camaro before that appeared to have no change in clearance, it looked pretty good imo too

it used those rectangle tips that a lot of camaros run, but they were mounted on the side behind the back wheels
