Louder Valve Noise With New Headers
JUST INSTALLED MY NEW PACESETTERS AND TSP CATTED Y PIPE, FOR SOME REASON WHEN IM DRIVING IT SOUNDS LIKE A LOUDER VALVE NOISE ALMOST LIKE A RATTLE FROM THE FRONT, IT USE TO DO IT BEFORE THE INSTALLE TOO, BUT WHEN I SHIFT IT IN NEATRUL AND REVE IT YOU CANT HEAR IT, I WAS THINKING MAYBE IT COULD BE THE FUEL (87) AND GETTING SOME KNOCK NOISE

Did anyone notice the end of his post?
87 octane gas?
Do the headers have provisions for the AIR system? If so is the AIR system hooked up?(I can't remember if the '02's had them)

Problem is, if the car is getting audible knock, that's a problem that needs to be fixed before it does damage. Now, without hearing the noise in person, it's hard to tell what the sound actually is that you're hearing.
But, if you suspect it may be knock then the best advice anyone can give you is to put premium in for a few tanks and see if it goes away......

It is good advice though. They're only meant to be run with 91 octane. For the price of the headers you could have upgraded to the higher octane gas your car needs, for two years. What you are doing is counterintuitive. You are increasing hp with the longtubes, and decreasing it by using 87 octane gas and running on the low octane tables. Your net hp gain will be small.
