80mm TB on a stock motor

I've tried searching but couldn't find a damn thing.

Mods are in my sig, with a FTRA on its way.

Would a 80mm TB really help me much?

I would wait till you are ready to upgrade the manifold too (i.e. FAST)

You would be better off porting your stocker for starters, and then getting the 80mm after you get an intake. or even get the 90.

Honestly, you might even lose power with an 80mm. You're only going the get the best out of a mod if your motor needs it. If you car needs more intake airflow, great, but you're still running a motor that was designed to work with the stock 75mm throttle body. I wouldn't get that or even port the stock one until you got full exhaust.

I have a ported TB now. I was just curious if there was any benefits since I would get a BBK 80mm faily cheap.

I guess it's not really worth it.

Went right over my head, sorry, it was a long night last night. Haha...honestly, it would probably get you maybe 3-5 extra rwhp. It's up to you.

the only thing a TB does is restrict airflow. Once you reach an unmeasureable pressure drop across the TB there will be no benefit from going larger.

When you do go larger, the throtlle response will be different because you are changing the restriction profile.. i.e. it will reach the minimum pressure drop prior to being wide open... so in essence, your car will be at WOT sooner and the last bit of pedal travel doesnt do much..
