Damn looking at how easy the 1 3/4 go in makes me jealous. I had to remove, plugs, steering shaft, oil filter and the block off plate, loosen the drivers motor mount, jack the engine over to the pass side until the P/S hose came off the resovior and then they barely made it. I kept trying b/w removal of items, but no luck with the 1 7/8" fatasses. Only way their coming out is if someone pays me, or they rot off!

There must be some serious clearance differences between cars. My stepped 1 3/4-1 7/8 would not slide right in like most of yours. I didn't pull the oil filter or steering linkage though. I had to pull the center motor mount bolt though and jack the engine up to get mine in. And yes you do have to pull the alternator to get that motor mount bolt out. This is my 4th different set of headers and the FLP's were the only ones I didn't have to jack up the motor a bit. The ones that have theres slide right in, you guys are some lucky SOB's .

I just installed a set of 1 3/4" w/AIR fittings today, I used a lift and they slid right in. The only thing I had to remove was the dipstick, only because it was blocking one of the manifold bolts.
