Best LT's catted Y combo?
Personally I don't think you can beat the Pacesetter and TSP 3" catted Y setup that TSP offer. It's great value for money. You'll also need some o2 sims for the rears and extensions for the front o2 sensors.
But there are lots of options and most LT's can be purchased with a catted variant, although some would require you custom fitting the cats to an ORY. The cats on the TSP setup are also very good ones.
No a tune is not needed, but may be of benefit if you don't plan on any more mods in the near future.

You probably should be more specific as to what you want, in order to narrow down your search. If money is no object then there is no beating the quality and hp gain of the QTP's & HVMC's. If money is a problem, then the best header for little $$ would have to be the pacesetters hands down.
And search too.
There is no "best combo". It's a matter of personal preferences, tastes, goals, criteria, etc.

As far as there being a "best" combo.....I think the QTP's w'HVMC's have proven to be the best when it comes to power gains. As far as quality, they are one of the best in this area also.
Will be puttin em in on Tuesday. They came with the clamps, hardware and extesions. I just had to buy the sims. Cut the collectors back, flange the cats to the collectors
Cut mandrel bent pipe to fit to a flowmaster 2.5"-3" merge collector.
Weld the stock Ypipe brace (pass. side) to the Ypipe so that it could use the stock brace.
AND
Install my hooker catback. So delete whatever the going rate for a catback install and that'd be what they charged me for the Ypipe.
Very easy install...when compared to installing headers on an LT1 car (nightmare). The only thing I had to do was cut the tab off the drivers side of the block with my sawsall. I could have just opted to jack up the motor though, but i wanted a piece of ls1 in my pocket!
