Question Where To Put Cutout??

I just purchased a Flowtech cutout from Speed Inc. and I was wondering where would be the best place to weld it on my Girlfriends 2001 Z28?? I dont need one for mine cause I have LM, but in her case she bought a Flowmaster exahaust system for her car wtihout consulting with me first (retard!!! ) lol. We live in California so Im hoping it would still pass smog with it on their when she takes in about 2 months. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

I put mine in the I-pipe, right before it turns up to go over the axle.

IMO the best place is under the passengers side rear seat. Almost looks like it was made for it.

As long as it's after the Y merge and before the muffler it should give best results.

No mufflers and/or cutouts have ZERO affect on emissions only on flow, tone and db level.

That's where mine is. Fits great and the electric cutout fits well too.

Alright I guess thats where Im gonna mount it then. I didnt want to get the electric one because I didnt want to have to deal with all the wiring. I dont mind crawling under my car and unscrewing it. To me its not worth the extra $150.

i'm with everyone else on the location, (not trying to be sexist) but does your G/F realize how loud its going to be. my wife will not ride in my car if i have mine open. now i do have an ORY so that may contribute to it being so loud. but i would imagine its still loud with the cats.

That is the best spot to put one honestly.

No actually my gf loves really loud cars. She wants it to be louder than mine lol. Yeah the ORY pipe would definitely have somethin to do with it. I want to install LT's and HI-FLO cats, and a better y pipe but the emmissions out here in california suck. So I think that im just gonna stick with my LM's and install a cam.
