With a catted Y, the exhaust is just bad *** sounding. It's loud enough, and it's got a great tone.

I personally like it loud, so the ORY is better for me. As far as rasp, IMO the Hooker 3" CB doesn't really have a raspy-ness to it. The muffler does a great job, and flows with the best of them.

Right now the cars off the road for the winter. I really can't tell you the RPM range where rasp occurs. Not off the top of my head anyway. At WOT it's just plain badass.

IMO, it doesn't totally resemble the sweet sounds I hear in the drivers seat. But this was taken in the stands on my canon digital camera. So sound quality isn't its strong point.
