Default Direct Flo Lids v/s True Ram Air (Suncoast)

I had an accident on April 27th, and my lid cracked because the hood bent up and hit it. I ordered a Raptor hood and it's on the way (and has been since April 29th, still not here, more later) so I ordered a replacement Direct Flo lid. Well after almost a month of waiting and several phone calls to Suncoast and several "your hood is the next out" or "it's going out tomorrow morning" and never showing up, I got feed up. I called Suncoast today and they say they quadruple checked and the hood is going out Monday, May 20th (a week short of 1 month after the accident). To make things right, they told me they'd do me right if I ever ordered anything from them again, so I asked about the functional airbox for the Raptor hood. I'm not going to state a price but it's VERY good, and I think I'm going to go for it, so now I've got a Direct Flo at the house and a SCC intake on the way.

With the SCC ram air, I think I'll lose a little low end power (under 60mph) but I think I'll be the same above that (I don't think I'll gain much, but who knows). Also I'll be different, not many people have the functional kit (and nobody I know of around here) so thats a plus for me. Just wondering what people's opinions are on the lid v/s suncoast ram air box are? I have noticed some VERY fast cars using functional ram air kits (namely Chris Endres' silver Z28 that he had).

And also, I guess I've got a brand new, opened but never installed on car (been in the shop since I've got the lid) Direct Flo lid with the red LS1 Motorsports sticker and an IAT sensor. I paid $150 plus shipping, I'd sell it for $150 and I'd pay shipping to you, like I said it's never been used and has been out of the box once for me to make sure everything was right and it's been in the box in the corner ever since. Lid and IAT sensor for $150. Email me at sqtransam@aol.com with Direct Flo lid in the title and I'll get back with you. I'll also post this in the classified section but thought I'd mention it here as well.

I say its DYNO TIME!!!!!!!!!! I would love to see a dyno comparison on the two. Do like 3 runs with the hood closed with each set up and do 3 runs with each set up with the hood open. and then used the best out of the 3 for the Open and the Closed and then post your results! (thats not but 12 dyno pulls.. LOL)
