Default What's the best puller for LS1 crank pulleys?

Just like it says. I'm swapping my pulley this weekend hopefully without pulling my fans. What is the best style of puller? Two prong, three prong? Any input would be appreciated.... 420rwhp NA or bust!

The time I pulled my pulley I rented a 3ton 3arm puller. It worked, but it was so big it was akward working with it and I don't think you could get it in there without pulling the fans.
I just bought a 2ton 3arm puller, having heard you can do it with that ... which would fit in with the fans in. But b/c of other install problems this past weekend, I didn't get around to the pulley

I rented a 3 ton puller from autozone...it was a 3 prong. If I remember right it was about $40 to rent it and you get your money back when you return it.

Same thing i did.

Make sure you get the center thing right in the middle of the crank bolt, it helps keep things straight....

I had to turn mine something fierce to get it moving. At first i thought it was stuck, then it started easing out.

For removing the stock pully just rent one from auto zone. I think we used a 3 prong. For an ASP I had to buy one at sears. For some reason the bolt pattern on the asp is a bit differant.

To put it back on you just put the bolt and tighten right?
