The final way to reduce oil consumption (which you won't like) is to take it easy with your car.
I tried running the truck pcv valve and got no results other than my seals started to slowly leak.

It's only a bulletin and not a recall. If you have extended warranty that might pay for it unless u still have a factory warranty other then that you have to pay for it. It's for 1999-2001 camaro's and firebird's with the LS motors and 1999-2002 corvettes. For the LS6 the valley cover is revised along with the rings and on LS1 its rings only.

Bulletin 01-06-01-011 (dated prior to above bulletin) says:
"The accepted rate of oil consumption for engines used in the vehicles referenced is 0.946 liter (1 qt) in 3200 km (2000 mi). "

good info never dies!
lol which one i'm wondering what oil to switch to cause i've run 10w30, 5w30 and now with my new H/C set-up i'm running 0w30 because of some people's advice on this site but i'm gettin double looks from people in the real world like WTF are you doing using that oil for in your high mileage engine for? btw i have 169,3XX on my bottom end lol main reason is my oil PSI is low compared to others, warm it's around 36 and when i've been beating on it, it drops down to 24-26

Well my car has 72,000 miles and consumes oil like a beast. I thinking around 1.5-1.75 quarts per 2000 miles. I've tried Mobil one 5w30 and Castol Syntec 5w30, and I have the "fixed pcv valve". I have castrol Euro Formula 0w30 ready to change, but am assuming it wont work.
Piston ring problem? How much will that cost to replace...
