SLP HEADERS
I'm gonna order my slp full length "tuned" headers from slp very very soon. I just wanted to know if ne one has slp headers with slp loudmouth exhuast. I currently have the slp 3" loudmouth, I heard this setup is perfect with the slp headers. Ne ways, all opinions are welcomed!
Thanx, Mike

Re: SLP HEADERS
I have SLP LT's with a bullet muffler. It's LOUD when you get on it, but pretty tame just cruising. There is noticable rasp from 2000-2500 rpms. I'm using the off road pipes so that may explain the raspyness.....

Re: SLP HEADERS
I have SLP LT's with a factory SLP Dual/Dual. I am currently using ORP's and it's a little louder than stock at WOT, but almost quiet at cruising speeds and I too have the rasp around 2000-2500 rpm.

Re: SLP HEADERS
They were a bitch to get in but they look and sound great. I love keeping the revvs up because it really roars. It is also tame when you want it to be. Overall, I'm glad I got em. A buddy of mine has them in combo with the Loudmouth. I have not heard them yet bet he says the same thing. They roar at WOT and it's tame when cruising. Good luck.

Re: SLP HEADERS
It sounds like ***. I have it and dont like it. I have the SLP LTs, no cats and the Loudmouth. It only sounds good when you have have your foot in it, then it screams. I can hear my car for many many blocks, Maybe a couple miles when Im all over it, (been told) but the rasp from 2k to 3k is NASTY! Good luck.

Re: SLP HEADERS
it will sound bad if you go with the off road pipes. Probably better to stay with the R/T cats supplied with the kit . They flow very well anyway.

Re: SLP HEADERS
any header set with no cats or mufflers will sound raspy and rough.. i would prefer to buy a good flowing muffler and stay away from the cats.
the slp's are a great header if you are not lowered and CAN get them in the car... the toughest i've installed.

Re: SLP HEADERS
I run the SLP Lt's and the Loudmouth. I love the sounds, oh the wonderfull sounds....
Anyway, I do run the Random Tech. cats. When the exhaust is cold, it is crackly and raspy, but once it gets hot, it mellows out into a softer rumble. It sounds awsome <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Well worth it.
