You want the Loudmouth. I have SLP LT's w/cats and an LM. If you like it loud and want to be noticed, it's your choice. Wind it out in a tunnel or under a bridge, and you'll HURT the people behind you! I've got a ramp where I can do a hole shot opposite stuck rush hour traffic, and it really puts a grin on my face to look over and see 1000 gaping yaps and eyes wide with shock and awe

Did I mention this ramp goes under a bridge???

BTW - I have the Monsoon system and never have trouble hearing it.

So a Loudmouth cat-back sounds pretty good with factory manifolds and y-pipe? Right now my car is totally stock and am wanting a change. And I will more than likely be adding long-tube headers later on, so I need to add that factor in as well...I've never heard a Loudmouth with long-tubes...not so sure if it'll sound that good?

To me, rasp sounds like firecrackers popping in a coffee can. My last setup (macs/ory/cutout/flowmaster catback) was horribly raspy between 2200 and 2600 rpm. Sounded horrible. Once you add headers/ory to the loudmouth, it will amplify the raspy sound. That's why you see a lot of lm owners cutting out the resonator and welding in a bullet muffler. Hope that helps.

You want true duals. GET THEM!

Stock cam with dumped duals is loud, and pretty loud when you get on it.

With a mean cam it's LOUD, seriously LOUD when you get on it.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

I ran open headers for a few weeks and they dwarfed a stock cam plus duals setup. I can only imagine open headers, 12:1 compression and a wicked cam.

I had the LM and Y with just the factory manifolds for a while before I got the LTs and HF Cats. It sounded awesome. If I recall it was a little raspy and would pop a little more, expecially when cold, before I put the LTs on. But people still used to ask me all the time "What exhaust do you have, man? "

^^^Yup mine pops when cold to but I really couldnt care at all. I ve got LT's, ory, and no cats and people always ask me what it is. Bur If you are stuck between LM and true duals...youd be stupid not to pick true duals. If I had the money I would do true duals tomorrow!

Do both! get a couple of LM resonators for $70/apiece, and use those instead of mufflers in your TD set up. Sweet!

I wouldn't.

Why pay $70 for a loudmouth resonator when you can get the standard Dynomax bullets for half that?

If you really want it to sound "sweet" get some Sweet Thunder chambered mufflers.
