Question another lame exhaust question

ok guys, i plan on doing some full length headers and getting some true duals ran under the axle sometime soon.

im debating on wether to get jet-hot full length headers or some qtp headers. i hear only good things about both, i know qtp are stainless and i never hear of anyone saying their coating wears off on the jet hots, but are the qtp headers worth the extra dough. i want to do this right the first time and if i should cough up a little more cash for the qtp i will if you guys think they are worth it.

...Oh ya, should i just get some race headers and get rid of the egr and air while im at it (i live in michigan, so no emissions testing here )

If you got the money to blow, then either one of those is a good choice, but many of us go with pacesetters. Best bang for the buck.....

well i hear that the coating on the pacestters start to wear out after a while and that they arent the best fitting headers.

i really dont have money to blow, ill just have to save a couple extra bucks i guess depending what everyone else says. because ill get qtp if everybody thinks its worth the couple extra bucks

The pacesetters fit perfect, no issues with them. They did a really good job in redesigning them. The coating does wear off after some time though. The only place I see it get tarnished is on the underside. The rest of it seems fine.

Your over the Jet Hots...go Pacesetter if you go with coated headers over stainless.

I love my Pacesetters.

well you guys arent helping, its just making the decision even harder for me.

im not really concerned if i spend some extra cash on the qtp's as long as i know ill be happy in the end, but im not sure if they are worth spending the extra cash, i want to do this right the first time. i dont want to have to go through ths again because im not going to be satisfied

(i dont think my poll is helping either)

If they were free I would choose stainless but 375 for coated Pacesetters is hard to beat and the quality is good. You cant possibly find a header that fits any better than a Pacesetter.

Go with the QTPs. They will out power the pacesetter/Jehot headers. They will last 10x longer, they wont rust and there is never a fitment issue. You see many times on here that people had other headers before they got there QTPs and all said they should have gotten them from the start. Though pacesetter is a good price you want to do it right once.

If its a daily driver or anything other than a fair weather driver, I would go with stainless. I grew up in Michigan and they use a lot of salt on the roads in the winter. I'm betting coated headers would last half the time they would in southern states.

well ya, i do live in michigan and it is a daily driver, but i wont be driving it in the heart of winter.

i have never heard or the jet hot coating wearing off as opposed to people always say the pacesetter's coating starts to wear off after a while.

i guess im leaning towards to qtp headers now (other mods will just to wait a little longer then i guess)
