Default What gains in MPG with bolt-ons?

How many MPG are gained from intake and exhaust bolt-ons? Also, underdrive pulleys should increase gas mileage as well. Does anybody think that all of these could increase gas mileage by 3 mpg or so in an A4? I need something to offset the loss from going with more gear, and it will help if I know that I can gain the MPGs back later on. Thanks in advance.

see sig for mod's

My car gained an average of 1 mpg in my normal driving. The car averaged 23 mpg before and averages 24 mpg now.

By the way, driving to Rockingham, getting in 5 passes in the 1/4 mile, the car still averaged 25 mpg.

Best mpg was 32.8 mpg on a trip

I think these LS1's are the best engines ever!

Your pretty lucky.....My car doesn't go very far, I average about 15MPG with about 65% highway.....Funny thing is too that recently I did sort of a test and drove my car about 150 miles on the highway at cruising speeds and whenever I had it on the street I kept it at below 2000 rpms.....So basically I drove the car about 200 miles with keeping it under 2000 rpms, obviosly sometimes I went over a little.....I averaged abot 18MPG Oh well guess it'll just cost me more for gas.....

I got 19 MPG the last tank full city driving
with a 6 speed.

Thats with the SLP air lid & dual/dual I just got
ported MAF ends but won't know for a while how they change the MPG.

25 to 28 MPG I think u boyz are using new math
or something?

**** guys, i get 12mpg average on mostly city driving. My morning commute is 4 miles, 2 of that on the freeway. And i come home on city streets. Id have to admit, i do a lot of full throttle or high throttle driving.. So i guess this is my low point on the mpg scale.. I get usually 160 miles to a tank, with a little left in the tank at refill. When i drive upstate, all freeway, i can get 240 mies on a tank with a little left at refill. Hehe..

Yeah when I take the car to Pontiac I am going to mention my terrible MPG and see if they could find anything......My normaldriving is usually to 2500-3000 rpms on accelerating, bt on highways I usually keep it under 2000rpms....IDK I thought I would atleast het 18mpg in normal driving an 22-25 when I do my gas test, but it trned ot 18 on my test and 15 normally

Something is WAY off. I get like 25-28.
