joe, i was dealing with rattling noises ever since i installed it. i just finally came up with something 2 days ago. what i did was i took some old trans cooler hose and wrapped it the full diameter around every part of the system that was hitting any metal. i then cut the hose and i took big tie straps and ran it through the inside of the hose around the exhaust pipes. works perfect. and yes i had the same problem with the passenger side cat. i did the same thing with the cooler hose there as well. i'll take some pics and show you what i mean

Last night, I loosened the collector flanges and all the clamps, pulled downward on the pipes so that the Y almost touches the sheetmetal cross-brace, made sure there was clearance in the following areas, then I tightened flanges/clamps:
- between driverside L-pipe and car floor rib
- between Y-pipe and driveshaft tunnel, especially on passenger side of tunnel

Seems much better, now it only bangs once when I shift out of Park.

Okay, got some banging if I step on it turning right from a dead stop;
sounds like the Y banging on the passenger side of driveshaft tunnel (only have 1/4" clearnace there);
minor readjustment/rubber required.

Otherwise I'm impressed, sounds good (even with stock catback) deep rumble, plenty of low end torque, seems to breathe easier at higher rpms.

Sets off car alarms very easily with just a light blip of the throttle; sounds almost like a big block.

Nice, do you have the capabilities of making a sound clip? From everything I have read so far this sounds like the system I will end up with.

My life is low tech (I don't even watch tv) (although I have a hi tech job ), so I don't have anything to record with; I'll see if my workmates can help me out.

I ohmed the 4 wires I bent and they are at 28 ohms.

When I bent them, I carefully/slowly bent the boot using both hands, so it seems I didn't damage them.

Sounds like you somehow broke the core wire, will MSD replace it for you...?

I hear that. I had to take mine off a couple years ago so I could sell them and then sell the car. But im back with my 3rd ls1. Went with pacesetters this time. Installing the current made me remember how nice that expensive stainless system was lol.

Personaly I think this was the most underated header package. It should have been up there with kooks,arh,and qtp
