The ASP is probably the lightest compared to others, but is not known for it dampening ability. I dont know but I am leaning towards the March damper as the best in damping and it doesnt throw belts as others.Furthermore, the march has a fluid based center, which will not cause spark sensors to retard the timing which results in power loss .

which material? not really sure.

Does the slp have a good dampening ability? Also, is the march lighter than stock?

yes its lighter, atleast that's what logic tells me from what i've read on UD pulley's......so you guys suggest march over ASP? what about march vs. slp (let's also compare best bang for back with that, i assume SLP's is much more) when putting on an UD pulley do you need a new belt also since it seems to me the stock belt would be loose? thanks.

Has anyone had belts fall off w/ the ASP and or March UD pulleys? I would rather go w/ an ASP or March if they are lighter or better than SLP in any way...

Seems as though everyone's guessing on the A4s...

Is there a gain on A4? dyno proof? not I can feel the difference...

Then there's this OD pulley question, do you really need an OD pulley?

"prostock_bigblock" sais you do, but there's a lot of guys on here that running the u.p. without the o.d.

well in my previous 98z28 A4 I ran only UD pulley and no charging problems at all , but ppl with sound systems will find some charging lose and will need th OD pulley.

gains r between 7-13RWHP .

Personally I don't think the SLIGHT weight difference between the steel SLP/powerbond pulley and the lighter aluminum pulley's will make a hp difference. I think the size of the pulley is where 99.99999% of the gains come from. As far as spark knock, the steel powerbond pulley won't distort over time like some of the aluminum pulley's have and cause KR. The SLP site says that the powerbond pulley won't cause KR, and it doesn't. I have the SLP pulley and data logging show's that I definately don't have any KR issues.

I've had my ASP pulley installed for four years with no belt-jumping and no KR. I thought it was a worthwhile investment...

how much does it cost for the new belts, and should I really be expecting anything close to a 2mpg gain? Cause that would be pretty awesome.
