Question underdrive pulleys

Is it worth putting underdrive pulleys on a 01' WS6 and if so what kind of hp gains can I expect?

Who makes the "best" one, and where is the cheapest place to buy them?

Will it work for an A4. Ive heard there can be power problems with the accessories with an underdrive pulley.

"Overdrive" pulley will solve the problem for A4`s. th OD pulley job is to bring back the alternator speed to its previous stock levels and this will solve the problems in Autos.

I have SLP's pulley and it is a very nice piece. It weighs a lot less than the stock pulley which means less strain on your engine during high revs. I noticed a difference.

I just have the underdrive pulley for the crank for my A4. I have not had any charging problems in the 5 years that I have had it. Right now, I have a ~800 watt stereo system and still have the stock alt pulley. You will be fine.

Yes, simply put...you will see a 12-15 HP gain and a 2-3 MPG gain. It's basically a smaller pulley that reduces the amount of power required to turn the rest of the accessories, much like shifting to a lower gear.

What material is the march made out of and what would make it better than an ASP pulley. Would the gains be more or less than an ASP?

I've never had a problem with SLP products and believe me, I have purchased a lot of them. The SLP pulley is very nice and a steal at $230. You do have to purchase two seperate belts from Gates. No big deal though! It took me about two hours to instal the pulley in my driveway along with SLP's high capacity radiator. Two nice mods to do at the same time!

All gains about the same. My vote is for the SLP w/ the higher walls to help prevent the belt toss.
