Default Dynatech stepped headers

How much will the dynatech stepped headers be worth over my Macs? My car has stage 2 heads and 232/232 .574/.574 w/ 114 lsa cam. Also how much do you think the a LS6 intake will be worth over the LS1?

I'd keep 1-3/4" primary headers on a smaller cube motor. The stepped ones will tend to hurt torque output on a smaller motor that doesn't need them. MAC headers are not that bad at all once you get rid of the ball flanges and build a custom 3" Y-pipe for them.

The LS6 intake will most likely be worth 8-14 rwhp on a heads/cam 346ci setup. Every car is different, depends on the heads.

I'd go with a good set of single diameter LT's. Grotts if you can get them or FLP's. From what I've seen the stepped headers actually lose power over a set of 1 3/4" Grotts...

Thanks for the info guys. Tony the car already has true 3" duals. Keep the replies coming! The reason I'm asking is that there is a GP going right now for the stepped headers for $450.00. Pretty damn good deal.

I'd consider the stepped headers if your using a blower or n20, all motor youll probably lose power but with a blower or on the bottle i think youl gain over the single tubes

Also I'm going with the 1 3/4" dynatech to a 3" collector -3" y-pipe 3 1/2" exit with removable cats to a replaceable straight through with a cut out in it, to a 3 1/2" muffler to a single 3 1/2" turn down at rear, I have a 98Z28 stock motor on n20 150 shot

Grots with straight 3" collectors were 5 rwhp better than..

Dynatech steps with 3.5" merge collectors

This is what Jason told me, and we both agreed that the results were inconclusive because he used to large of a OD on the merge collector. Was I misinformed?
