I went to Lowe's and got a 1/4 hose splice that was brass and two 1/4 hose clamps. No problems. You really can't see it since it is under the TB.

I had to tie-wrap it for fear of it hitting the pulley(?). The down side is if it breaks there will be anti-freeze on the garage floor(best case) or me on the side of the road with anti-freeze on the ground (hello AAA...worst case).

I measured the distance between the radiator and the coolant outlet before it goes into the TB (was approx. 19.5 inches) and just replaced the two shorter hoses with one long hose instead of splicing the two together. The hose plus two rubber plugs for the TB cost me $6, max. I figure less chance of a problem with one hose than with two spliced together.
