What does it take to beat the 03 cobra? A guy I know just got his yellow 03 cobra last week, of course everybody wants us to line 'em up..but as of right now it should hand me my ***..can I keep up with bolt-ons? I keep thinking about nitrous but I know I will hear crap from people if I do that cuz its kinda the ***** way out. I wouldn't have the cash for a supercharger for a year..just wondering if anybody knows what it takes to beat one. <img border="0" alt="[fight]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" />

Re: What does it take to beat the 03 cobra? Judging from the hype and advertised power you should need a lot. However, from the few people I have seen who have posted et's so far on various ford boards...it doesn't look like they got much on the ls1.
Re: What does it take to beat the 03 cobra? yeah id say headers or gears would put you ahead. an auto car would need a big stall and a couple boltons and traction and would probably outrun one. 6spd car probably needs nothing more than lid headers and catback or cutout with traction to outrun one.

It looks like the cobra will be at 400 rear wheel with full exhaust and stock pulley.

"the only way you could beat me is with nitrous" I dunno, I keep thinking about doing it.. but I just don't want to get crap for doing it.I'll keep you posted if I do. how much do nitto's cost? I would only need them in the rear, right?
