Default Left Over Wire Hook Up.....???

My friends helped me rip my brothers LS1 apart to replace lifters, cam, etc. Well when I went to put everything back together I had one left over wire hanging behind the engine. First off, it's an automatic, so I'm wondering if it's something that plugs into the top of the tranny. It's towards the back of the engine on the passenger side..... it's a 2-conductor wire into a plug almost like an O2 sensor harness. But it's not an O2 plug, or the map sensor plug.... so what the hell is it? Any ideas?? Thanks!

Yeah I'll have to post it up in a few hours though, sorry. It hangs off the bundle of wires that includes the map sensor wire, injector wires, coil pack plug, etc. It hangs out of that bundle probably a foot like maybe it drops behind the motor.

may be the crank sensor plug. It's above the starter.

The tranny has a big plug for the internals and a smaller one for the speed sensor. Nothing on top.

There's also a 2 wire plug for the oil level sensor.

I'll check the crank sensor... I wonder if that's it because I wasn't there when they put the starter back in place. I know it's not the oil level sensor. I know the big plug is back in the tranny but I don't know about the speed sensor. Hmmmmmm. Thanks for the help and I'll try to figure it out tomorrow. Do you know exactly where it plugs in on the tranny... I'm guessing you mean around the big connection?

Looks like the knock sensor by wire color. Does it come out from under the manifold?
