Removing EGR this week a quick ?

Default Removing EGR this week a quick ?

ok i plan on taking the egr off my car when i do the header install.well i know im goin to block the hole in the intake and the two holes in the headers .but what about the egr valve itself.i seen wires goin to it do i just simply unplug these wires and take the valve off its self or what thanks for the help guys

yup just unplugg the plug and unbolt the EGR system from the engine and thats it, now with the removal of the AIR system you know to remove the Air pump fuse right?

yea i did knwo to femove the fuse just kinda got stuck on that valve ahh thats what happens when you work on your car at like 12.30 at night lol brain lock up lol thanks for help man .when i remove the air i might get soem more help from ya peace

My fuses are still in, and i haven't had any complaints.

I just took my EGR wires, and taped them to the wires that run down to the A/C compressor.

Remove the valve and tie back the connector.

just tie it back, the air pump you can just remove the connector

so the air pump doesnt come on, since its disconnected you wouldnt need it to come on. you could just unplug it but the fuse is easier to get to and remove.

So you actually disabled the system, but left the pump in the car? Why the hell didn't you remove it all together?

I just took the whole thing out, saves a little weight and no need in having it if its not doing anything. It only takes a few minutes to get out.
