Why don't you guys do away with that stupid "Y" pipe and go with over the axle true duals?

With just a y-pipe like the SLP replacement, you are looking at -1 to +2 rwhp. It will make the tone a LITTLE bit deeper, but not really do anything to speak of as far as power is concerned.

try to find a y-pipe with a merge collector like the flowmaster 3" to 4" rather than just to pipes welded together... it will help scavenge the exhaust better

Yeah, guys have lost hp going from the stock y, to the slp replacement y. With the natural variation of the dyno, it may not have actually been a loss, but nonethless no significant gain. The y-pipe isn't a restriction on a stock car with stock exaust manifolds, and that's why they don't show much in the way of gains.

Why bother doing the Y pipe? It's not worth that much on it's own. Maybe if you are serious about spending some money look into shorty headers and a 3" Y pipe with high flow cats. But IMO I'd spend the money else where if I was living in CA.

Lid, catback, pulleys (maybe don't know much about them), LS6 intake (90mm) with tpis 90mm TB or maybe fast 90/90, cam and Nitrous.

Or look at a CARB blower kit.
