Ok so I've been shoping for some long tubes for my 98 SS for a while and was set on a set of QTP 1 3/4 race style long tubes and ory until i came upon the edelbrocks. Im considering these since they look like a quality peice, cost about half as much for the lt and ory compared to the qtp's, are stepped which from what i have seen make more power on pretty much every setup. Now my questions are what do people think of these headers that have them like how are they holding up, is the ti tech coating any good, how is the fitment, and finally are you happy with these headers. Im seriously considering these unless i hear differently from people here since they should make more power, cost about half as much, and should last like the qtp's since this car will never see winter or any salt. Also for people that have these which part number did you purchase and what is the difference. I see two different part numbers which are the 65653 and the 65703. From what i can tell the 65653's the collectors and o2 bungs are already welded in and the 65703's are not? Thanks for everyone's help.

I have them on my 01 Z28. They have been on there for about a year and I love them. The coating starts to rust a little bit in the bends but other than that the coating is great b/c it reduces heat very well. Mine slightly rub on the drivers side part of the k-member but not too much to hurt anything. The install was just like every other header install. I got the slip fit headers for the track...but I am overall very satsified with them. I would recommend them to anybody who asked.

i love mine the ti tech coating is rusting in the bends so i called edlebrock and they are replacing them i would definetly get the fully welded version to ensure a leak proof set up

I have had them on my car for two months, and they are rusting at the bends as well. They are a great header, don't get me wrong, but the coating needs to be a little better. They make really good power, and the ORY has a great merge where it goes into the I pipe. I have the 65703 with the slip-on collectors and 6571 ORY. Here is a link to the post I made when I first got them:

I just ordered mine yesterday, so I can let you know how they go in. I've heard nothing but good things about the header, so I took my FLP's off the car and sold them to run these on the car....

I've had them on for about a month and have no complaints. No rust yet. I got the slip on ones and they are tight enough so there are no leaks. There are pics of the installed exhaust in my sig. The ones I got were the racing style, so there is no hook up for AIR. My SES light is on because of this, but I'm getting a full dyno tune next week after my cam install and there will be no more AIR system. You just can't beat it for the price. I think its a very good header.

im deleting air and egr with a tune, but i rather not have air or egr on my headers at all but i need to get the welded ones. so i guess i gould get 00-02 and only have one ugly emmision fitting in stead of two 98-99. right?
