Throttle cable adjustment w/ Traction control.
I know how to adjust it, butI have a MMS throttle body with the bump stop ground down, but the throttle wont open all the way up to the stop, but if I adjust it to where it does open all the way, it idles at 1500 RPM. It wont go all the way down. So its either open all the way and idle at 1500 or idle where its supposed to and not open all the way.
Am I missing something?
The shape of the 'cam' on the throttle shaft where the cable attaches changed in 2000 and up, I believe. It's physically longer and a different shape from the 98-99 cam. I'm not sure, but I suspect if you installed a pre-2000 TB on a 2001, the cable and linkage might not work together. If you still have your original TB, compare the cam shape. If they are different, contact your TB supplier.
I've seen a lot of modified TB's recently, and cores for 2000 and up are very scarce.
