Some pics of my new exhaust
So we decided to go with a 3 1/2" y-pipe (ovaled on the driver side) to a flowmaster collector (3 1/2 to 4", very nice collector) and then 4" back to a Dynomax race muffler turned down before the axle. The floor board had to be modified to fit the muffler.
I haven't even driven it yet, but it sounds GREAT!! I'll post some sound clips over the weekend.

Anyway, thanks again for your help.
Dave
I used to have a Mufflex 4" catback and I swapped to that same muffler... Sounded good kind of old school, excellent at WOT.

Wednesday I tried to do the same thing at Mufflex, however Denny said the same thing about the Spohn Torque Arm where the cross brace was in the way. So, we ended up installing a new Y-Pipe exactly like yours to a 4" Mufflex system out the back w/a Spintech muffler and dual tips.

I had:

then,
tts lt's, 3" orp, mufflex 4" w/that muffler
now,
tts lt's, 3" ovalized duals, borla xr1 sportsmans
I think you will find it a little noisy dumping at the axle but it will sound manly.
John, my first exhaust was the dual-dual from the factory. Then I added SLP headers, which got me the SLP y (nice y-pipe). Then I swapped in a Magnaflow muffler (liked it a lot). Then came the Grott headers with the nasty y-pipe, which I just removed for this current system.
