well i am getting the fast toys ram air with a lid, i ordered everything yesterday.

im going to the track in two days and the car is completely stock, i will be gonig later this month with the intake done and maye an exhaust if i decide what i want.

my buddy has an autotap and ill check the iat temps cruising aroud while it being stock then when i get the FTRA and lid on ill scan again to se the changes.

I installled the FIPK on my car yesterday only took about an hour. I think it looks better under the hood than the lid. I dont think its worth $300. I think K/N should come off that price some. Engine sounds meaner than before with the stock lid.

i put my lid on an actually notice a difference in 2nd, its also got a lot better sound to it, like alot of people are saying i dont know if its worth having the k&n thing unless uve got like a ws6 hood or something ur cars gonna get the same air in it, its just its gonna get dirtier faster, and i paid 60 bucks for my lid...

Just spend $100 on a lid and call it a day.

I can't believe this poll isn't more lopsided in favor of the lid. Do that many of you guys really buy into the whole FIPK deal making more power?

The way I look at, the FIPK is better for non ram air cars IE: Formula's and Z28's. For an SS or WS6 that has ram air, the lid is better because its focusing all of that air coming into the air box into the engine. If you have a ram air T/A i would do the lid for sure.
