****True Dual Exhaust Roll Call!!!!****
1. What size piping?
2. Xpipe, Hpipe, or straight piping?
3. what mufflers?
4. clearance problems?
5. SOTP or dyno improvement?
6. Have you heard a better exhaust on an LS1?
My stats:
1. 3"
2. X pipe
3. Dynomax bullet muffs
4. Yes, dual 3" piping and 12 bolt with aftermarket torque arm don't like one another...car is not lowered!!!
5. Definate dyno improvement, especially upper rpm power band...much broader and flatter
6. Best F'in exhaust sound ever
2. Xpipe, Hpipe, or straight piping? X pipe
3. what mufflers? 12" Dynomax Bulits
4. clearance problems? had to cut the turndowns because they were scraping a good bit. I am lowered with Intrax springs
5. SOTP or dyno improvement?
6. Have you heard a better exhaust on an LS1?
Hell no, this is the baddest thing out there for an LS1. Esp with my lil cam and compression. Im happy as hell I ripped off my Y pipe and cutout.
2. X-pipe
3. 4" bullets
4. ground clearance is terrible I still have to tuck it up a little more.
5. definetly faster. I'm not getting better 1/4mi times though because now the car won't hook up. Got Hal's on the way though.
6. This is without a doubt my favorite setup for an LS1. Very loud with 4" bullets and looks mean from behind the car.
2) Dr. Gas 3" X pipe
3) Flowmaster Delta Force 1 chamber 3" center in, center out
4) NONE!! No pipes hitting floorboard
5) MAJOR SOTP improvemant over old setup (no cats and Crapmouth)
6) NONE. Catbacks sound like @ss now. Even the so called awesome "chambered catback, GMMG" Nothing even compares!
THEE best thing I have done to my car and people love it. I couldnt be happier. People ask how I got the mufflers under ther, but It fits, Just have to know how
Sweet! you guys with true duals on f-bodys are nuts!

no way!! best sounding exhaust, more horsepower, fatter powerband, and shaved weight off the car!!!
How can you not like this setup!! Other than the slight rasp w/o cats and the lack of exhaust tips....ok, maybe the clearance sucks and the exhaust smell with the windows open while at a stop....but other than that it's perfect!!
-TTS longtubes
-3" ovalized pipe
-2.5" diameter H pipe, 18 inches back from header collectors (2.5" is the same height as my ovalized main pipes)
-3" Borla XR1 Sportsman Mufflers, straight thru design, no real baffles
-3" dumps before the rear axle
--->Sounds neat, I had bullets on there before but it sounded like open headers with my big cam. I put the mufflers on there and a lot of Stangers think it's the best sounding LS1 around. Sound is very tuned sounding on highway and it's most quiet on the highway.... Loudest at a light. I'm guessing the H pipe is causing that. I do have a 2000 rpm drone/ thrum.

I live in a small town and im the only LS-1 that is into performance (the others just bought their cars for looks). There is a Roush Mustang (no boos please )that has duals comming out the side. It looks mean as hell and the sound is amazing. This would also be legal since it's illegal to dump the exhaust before the axel in Texas (or so I hear). Only problem, I don't know if it would look good or not. One reason that the Mustang's side exiting exauast looks so good is because most of the aftermarket side skirts that I have seen have a bulge around the tip to make it look cleaner. Another thing I worry about is the decrease of value of the car and the irreversability of the whole thing. Still considering it though, and if I do it then you will all see pics!

The next was going over the axle. To those tat have asked, this was not really as hard as it has been made out to be. I had 3" all the way back. The bar above the panhard bar must be taken off, but other than that, no problem fitting the pipe in there. The one mistake I did make was moving the bullets from under the car, to the rear. What this served to do was place weight on the rear clamps & I kept breaking the welded on clamps.
I got tired of the loud *** sound, so I got the Eldebrock RPM muflers, 3.6" thick, 7" wide, nice & compact. This was a 2.5" mufler that I had the ends expanded to fit over the 3" pipe. The sound is awesome, sounds great, exp when I get on it. Other than that, I can hold a conversation inside the car. I do have cutouts right before the muflers, but dont use them much.
The next plan is that when I finally get the motor that I want, I'll go back over the axle, & not worry about the added weight, because I'll have the power to make up for it.

2. Dr. Gas X-pipe
3. Dynomax bullet mufflers
4. better clearance than the y-pipe
5. Definite SOTP. Never dynoed it though.
6. Best exhaust sound ever
Next setup will be Dynatech LTs, 3" pipes and 3" x-pipe, Dynomax bullets, and turn-downs before axle.
