how is everyone doin longtubes
Since installing pacesetter long tubes with a offroad ypipe..ive gone thru about 4 sets of front o2 sensors...ive tried them all...bosch corvettes, densos, ac delcos.... they last about 1k to about 5 k then they are toast..
I have no leaks at all
and my computer has been tuned by pcm for less..

I would say if you dont have any exhaust leaks, that it's still in the tune somewhere. There's nothing else I can think of that would cause it. Was it a mailorder tune? Some mailorders are hit or miss and could be adding to the problem as well.

i ran crazy rich for a while after longtubes and a damn slp maf (which btw will offset your a/f and make your car a huge pain in the *** to tune) and when i hooked up vcm scanner the o2s were still relatively good...dunno what would be causing it

I had this problem on my head and cammed LT1. I found out that all of my O2 failures were caused by driving in water, after rain and the water hittis the LT"S and the steam fries the O2's. I know it sounds crazy, but I started paying attemtion to puddles and not driving on wet roads alot, and I didnt have anymore problems.

Actually the funny thing is the LT will cause your car to run into a lean condition because you are moving more air out, and the PCM dumps fuel to get it into a rich condition; so the car should be running a little rich (not if tuned right though). It would seem to me to be in the tune. We have been running LTs for a while now and still on our stock O2's with extensions. Our Camaro is my daily driver, and I have driven it in downpours for the last 4-5 weeks (NorCal) 30+ miles each way with mixed Freeway/city driving with no problems at all.

And, I dont know that that is the problem. I had a LS1 with the same LT"S and no problems in the rain at all. Ran it for nearly 2 yrs, no sensor burnouts. I was led to believe that it was a problem particular to LT1's, but I was just making a suggestion. Cant hurt to pay attention to it, some cars may be more suseptible than others.
