Default Pulley's on an A4?

Just curious what the drawbacks are when running both a crank and alternator pulley on an A4. Is it possible just to run the crank pulley? Thanks.

Yes that is what pretty much everyone runs is just the crank pulley.I wouldnt recommend the alternator pulley as it will drain it quickly.

The crank pulley is all you'll need. That what most of us with A4's are running.

Guys, there are two alternator pulleys. One is an under drive, which will kill batteries on A4s. The other is an over drive pulley, which will help with charging on A4s. I am considering running an under drive crank pulley with and over drive alternator pulley, and mine's an A4.

The ASP is fine for auto, but most just go with the crank pulley as stated above. On my M6 I could feel the increase.

Ive got the crank pulley and no probs. Just dont do the ALT pulley cause its gonna drain the battery big time at lights. Mine dims a little with the crankpulley, but its no biggie.

gains from the ALT pulley are so small it isnt worth it. Your looking at a good tenth form the crank <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Unless you spend most of your time at idle, the charging issue with a crank pulley is minimal or non-existant.
